Much more than annoying insects that eats your clothes, moths have been misunderstood for centuries. Drawn to the Light is a multifaceted project that aims to reframe moths beyond being pesky insects that fly around your room at night. The moths are photographed face to face in front of backdrops of nightscapes marked with imagined trails of where moths might fly, inspired by the effects that artificial light are having on moths. British moth populations are declining rapidly; these reductions have knock-on effects for birds, bats and other small mammals that rely on moths as a vital food source and plants that depend on moths for pollination.
